Why an expired license costs you

No license, no eviction. Under Philadelphia Code §9-3901, an owner without a valid rental license can be denied the right to recover possession or collect rent for the period they're out of compliance.

Late fees grow. Renewals more than 60 days late are charged 1.5% of the fee per month.

Questions

Are you the City of Philadelphia?

No. Rental Licensed is a private filing service. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the City. You can always renew yourself in eCLIPSE without us; we save you the time and hassle.

Do you need my eCLIPSE password?

No. The City lets owners add an agent or co-applicant to a license with a PIN. We file under our own account.

What if the City won't renew my license?

Renewal can be blocked by unpaid City taxes, open violations or a missing lead certificate. If that happens, we tell you exactly what's blocking it and refund our $79.

Is this legal advice?

No. We are not a law firm. We complete and submit the City's standard forms with the information you give us.

I have several properties.

It's $79 per license. For three or more, email hello@rentallicensed.com and we'll handle them together.
